Flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations

As winter is coming, it is even more important to make sure we protect ourselves and the people around us. Click the button at the bottom of the page to watch a short video about why it is important. There is also an easy read guide from the Government all about COVID-19 and the vaccines.

Annual Health Checks

People on the Learning Disability Register should have an annual health check every year. Your doctor should invite you when you're health check is due. If you are not sure, ask your doctor if you are on the register.

Reasonable Adjustments (small changes)

Health services, like doctors surgeries, have a legal requirement to make small changes, called reasonable adjustments. This is to make sure you feel safe and confident when going to the surgery or hospital, and understand everything that is happening. You should be involved with everything to do with you.

Speak to your GP about how they can make small changes to help you.



Hospital Passports

A hospital passport can be useful to tell staff how best to help you and what reasonable adjustments they need to make. You can find the form to create a hospital passport on the Mencap website.
